To add a vista startup program, or an application that runs when you start your vista computer,

Click start > Run > regedit

Navigate to HKEY_LocalMachine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\

Right click the background, and create a new string value.

Name your startup item, and make the value set to the location of the program you want to launch.

You will now see this in MSconfig and vista will start it up for all users.
