Brown Anole Female (wikipedia)
Brown Anole Male (wikipedia)

A lot of people have asked me during visiting me in Florida, "What are all those tiny lizards called on the sidewalk and patio?"

They are Brown Anoles. A type of lizard that may be called "skinks", "geckos" or "chameleons" and all are incorrect. None of them called it an Anole, and neither did I. I had never heard the term until today so I wrote this article about it.
